An electric forged steel ball valve works by using an electric actuator to generate rotational motion, driving the stem and ball to change the flow passage and control the pipeline. USA VTON electric forged steel ball valves combine a forged steel ball valve, electric actuator, and corresponding control components.

1. The Control System Sends a Command
In an automated pipeline, the control system sends an opening or closing command to the electric actuator according to process requirements.
The actuator converts electrical energy into mechanical rotation. Depending on the configuration, it can provide full-open/full-close operation or valve-position control.
Actuator selection should therefore consider valve operating torque, operating time, and frequency rather than motor power alone.
2. The Actuator Drives the Stem and Ball
The ball inside the valve contains a flow passage. When the actuator rotates the stem, the ball rotates accordingly.
When the ball passage aligns with the pipeline, the valve is open. When the ball rotates to the closed position, the passage is shut off and the medium is isolated.
The forged steel valve body can be selected for industrial applications requiring corresponding mechanical strength, subject to the actual pressure, temperature, and medium conditions.
3. Position Feedback Supports Remote Monitoring
For automated systems, position feedback can be configured according to control requirements. After the actuator moves, feedback signals can transmit valve status to the control system, allowing operators to monitor the open, closed, or intermediate position.
USA VTON electric forged steel ball valves can be configured according to the control logic and automation requirements of the application.
Application Example
At a certain industrial pipeline, remote shutoff of high-pressure media was required. When the control system issued a closing command, the actuator rotated the stem and ball until the flow passage was closed. After an opening command was received, the actuator rotated in the opposite direction to restore pipeline flow.
Operating Advice
For high-pressure, frequently operated, or highly automated pipelines, provide pressure, temperature, medium, operating frequency, and control requirements during selection. This helps determine an appropriate valve-and-actuator combination.
